“The person is unworthy” is the most famous story to Osamu Dazai. The work is largely autobiographical - many critics believe that in the image of Yozzo both the author himself is depicted: a suffering person who destroys his life, not finding a place in it. And, as if bringing this line under his own existence and putting it into the story of all himself, shortly after the release of the “unworthy man”, Dadzai rushed into one of the Tokyan water meters.

This work is known all over the world. It formed the basis of the film, manga, several anime.
