A book prepared by the famous Chinese and Buddhologist E. A. Torchinov contains three fundamental texts related to the VI-IX centuries, without which an adequate understanding of the entire Far Eastern Buddhist tradition is impossible. It included the most important philosophical treatises: “A treatise on the awakening of faith in Mahayan”, a treatise of Zun-mi “On the Formation of Man” and the treatise of the fifth Chaan of Patriarch Hun-Jehny “On the basics of improving consciousness”. The publication is equipped with extensive article and comments.
