The poetry of the Silver Age

by analogy with the Pushkin golden age of the era of the line of the 19th and 20th centuries, it was called the Silver Age and was marked by the phenomenon of an unprecedented number of bright names in Russian poetry: Balmont and Bryusov, Hippius and Merezhkovsky, Sologub and Annensky, Blok and Akhmatova, Gumilyov and Mandelstami , Tsvetaeva and Pasternak, Yesenin and Mayakovsky and dozens of others. But not only a great many poetic talents gave rise to this era.

The silver eyelid was inherent in a special romantic attitude, an amazing atmosphere, which became a reflection of the spiritual rise and new trends, which affected both Russian literature and Russian painting, philosophy, philosophy, philosophy. Music and theater - it was a real “cultural renaissance”, as Nikolai Berdyaev wrote.
