The book included the chosen works of Joseph Brodsky (1940 - 1996), the great poet, translator, playwright, Nobel Laureate of Literature (1987). These are the poetic collections “Stop in the desert”, “End of the beautiful era”, “Part of speech”, “New stans by August”, “Urania”, “Landscape” produced in the American publishing house “Ardis” from 1970 to 1996 and Compiled by the poet in cooperation with his friends Karl and Ellenda Proffer, the founders of the famous publishing house.
Brodsky’s poems for children and his most famous essays - literary, philosophical, autobiographical (some of them were written by Brodsky by - were also included English, and part - in Russian).
These two elements of the author - poetry and essays - represent it as the largest thinker of the 20th century, belonging not only to Russian, but also of the entire world culture.
