In the summer of 2022, the question "Where have you been the last eight years?" has become fundamentally important. And it will remain like this for many decades. And the answer to it cannot be collective - only individual. Because collective responsibility begins with individual. “The pre -war book” is the response of the Russian journalist Mikhail Shevelev, who left this profession in 2014. Because she began to demand too many compromises.

Then the author of this collection of stories and stories decided that he was not losing anything if he tried to write something non-reporting, but artistic. Here is the result.
