This book grew from a special course of lectures on dialectical logic, read by the author, the Soviet philosopher M. M. Rosenthal, at the Academy of Social Sciences. The purpose of the book can be reduced to three moments: 1) to find out the difference between the dialectical and formal logic, to show that the latter far from exhausting the tasks of the science of logic, that only dialectical logic can be the general logical basis of all human knowledge; 2) outline the circle of basic issues that make up the object of study of dialectical logic; 3) to outline the approach to these issues, their solution, guided by what gives the works of the classics of Marxism-Leninism in the field of dialectical logic, also attracting the data of modern science and practice.
The book is recommended for philosophers, methodologists of science, social scholars, Historians, teachers, students and graduate students of humanitarian specialties, as well as everyone who is interested in Marxist philosophy.
