The normal state of mental health is one of the main and necessary conditions for the functioning of the personality as a full member of human society. Persons suffering from a mental disorder inevitably turn out to be excluded from the system of social ties, since they are often deprived of the opportunity to participate in social relations, and their communicative opportunities are very limited. In this book, based on an extensive legislative framework and judicial practice, the legal framework for the provision of psychiatric care has been analyzed; licensing requirements for medical organizations providing psychiatric assistance; the rules of hospitalization in the hospital in an involuntary manner; The use of compulsory measures of a medical nature and the procedure for appealing the actions of medical personnel to provide psychiatric care. Given the special importance of providing legal protection to both persons suffering from mental illness and their counterparties who make civil transactions with them, in the book, special attention is paid to such important practical issues as restriction, termination and restoration of citizen's competitiveness, contesting of persons, a person suffering from mental illness, as well as property liability for his actions.
