The right to record
“The right to record” is a book of articles, essays, entries of journalist and writer Frida Vigdorova (1915 - 1965). Its most of it is built on archival materials - writer and journalistic notebooks, in which one of the main features of Vigdorova’s talent was manifested: the absolute hearing for human speech and the ability to artistically reproduce the many people heard. The book also includes a chapter from her unfinished story “Teacher”. In addition to the texts of Vigdorova, the book includes fragments of memoirs, articles, performances dedicated to her life, creativity and activity. Most of the materials are published for the first time. The texts of Frida Vigdorova are published with the preservation of author's spelling and punctuation.
