Emil Durkheim (1858-1917) - French sociologist and philosopher, professor of Bordeaux universities and Sorbonne, founder of the French sociological school, one of the founders of sociology as an independent science.

This book, first published back in 1895, is the manifesto of its author in a new science for that time - sociology. “The rules of the sociological method” and still remain relevant and discussed.

According to Durkheim, sociologists without prejudices and prejudices should study social facts as real, objective phenomena, using a strictly scientific method used in natural sciences.
