The sacrament of repentance. How to reconcile with God
repentance is a sacrament in which its confessions, with the visible expressing of forgiveness from the priest, is invisibly resolved from sins by Jesus Christ. This sacrament is called the second baptism. In the modern church, it, as a rule, precedes the sacrament of communion of the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, since it prepares the souls of those who repent to participate in this great meal. In the sacrament of baptism, washing all his sins, he continues to sin in the weakness of human nature. These sins separate a person from God and put a serious barrier between them. Can a person overcome this painful gap on his own? No. If there were no repentance, a person could not have been saved, could not maintain unity with Christ in the sacrament of baptism.
