The sacred book of the East. Sutta-Nipata

“Sutta-Nipata” is a well-known Buddhist text, the Sutr collection of Khuddaka-Nikai, the last part of “Sutta Phytak”, the second “baskets” of Tritribaki. It serves as the basis for the religious teachings of the Theravada - the oldest school of Buddhism.

This is a collection of moralizing lectures addressed to both monks and laity. It reveals the essence of the teachings of the Buddha and give practical recommendations for its implementation in life. Some historians reckon the “Sutta-Nipata” to the most ancient Buddhist texts.
