Tanizaki Dzyunyitiro (1886-1965)-the famous Japanese writer who has received worldwide recognition. In his work, he often turned to Japanese history. The action of his two stories, “The Secret History of Prince Musashi” and “The Story of the Blind”, belongs to the period of the fighting kingdoms (1482-1558)-the era of bloody internecine wars.

The heroes of these works are large feudal lords that are torn to absolute dominance over the country, brave and cruel warriors that do not disdain any means to achieve their ambitious plans. Tanizaki remains here with himself: telling about conspiracies, betrayal, thirst for revenge, describing the fragrant fights, he also explores secret passions that torment the souls of fearless commanders.
