The main character, Kolka Lazunov is an orphan and lives with his aunt. He wants to become a sailor and see distant countries. But the path to the cherished dream becomes complex and thorny: in St. Petersburg, in the Marine Cadet Corps, Kolka is faced with severe military discipline and rudeness of comrades. Once in Sevastopol, Kolka acquires real friends and goes with them in search of a lost treasure from the legendary Macedonian ship. The search for a treasure is not only a fun adventure, but also a test of oneself.
