The Snow Queen. Andersen Hans Christian

The book is an adaptation of the fairy tale of the famous Danish writer Hans Christian Andersen (1805-1875) “The Snow Queen” in English. This is one of the best fairy tales of the great writer, widely known in our country. It tells how children's love and sincere friendship helped to dispel the evil spell of the insidious lord of the Snow Kingdom. After each chapter, a comment and translation of difficult words and expressions is given, as well as exercises aimed at testing the understanding of the text, working out vocabulary and grammatical constructions, and the development of oral speech skills. New words are included in the dictionary, which is placed at the end of the book. The manual is addressed to students of grades 3 - 4 of secondary schools, lyceums, gymnasiums as well as a wide range of people studying English.
