Hans Christian Andersen is not only a great storyteller, but also a real wizard. The tale of how a tin soldier and a paper dancer fell in love with each other, became one of the most famous love stories in world literature. And it doesn’t matter that the heroes are toys. Their devotion and selflessness have been touching the hearts of readers, children and adults for almost two hundred years.

The illustrations of Anton Lomaev transfer us to the cozy world of the small European city of the beginning of the 19th century - during the time of Andersen. They tell us the story of a family in whose house the events of a fairy tale are developing: an ordinary happy family with her life, joys and small incidents, so similar to the family of the artist himself.
