The book for the first time, according to archival materials, publishes the main works of the outstanding church and public figure, theologian, Archimandrite Fotiy (Spassky) (1792-1838). The Orthodox ascetic, ascetic, which wore Veriga on the body, he fearlessly convicted vices and delusions in society in society. The beginning of the public service of Fotius coincided with the widespread distribution in the noble circles of the Masonic lodges and heretical mystical teachings, the main followers of which were the most influential faces of the empire. Fotiy challenged all these high -ranking heretics, revealing the anti -Orthodox nature of their activities in the notes addressed to Alexander I. Through his students and admirers, the ascetic collected information about the activities of the Masonic lodges, made lists of Masons, as well as mystical and Masonic books, which he classified according to several sections: “demonic”, “heretical and anti -Christian”, “revolutionary” and “Masonic”. During personal meetings with Tsar, Fotius managed to prove to him the criminal and socially dangerous nature of the Masonic lodges, and on August 1, 1822 they were prohibited throughout the Russian Empire, and the high -ranking Masons resigned.
