The substantiality of the human soul. Self -awareness and personality

This publication publishes two thematically related works by Professor V.A. Snegirev (1842-1889)-theologian, Orthodox psychologist, logic. The system of psychological formations is explained by them by the dynamics of the process of cognition (through the formation of the “world of ideas”). In the first work "The substantiality of the human soul" V.A. Snegirev is comprehensively substantiated the objective existence of the soul as an independent principle, not reduced to material. In the work "Self -Consciousness and Personality" the ideas of V.A. Snegirev is further developed. He connects the formation of personality with the development of consciousness, in particular, self -awareness, develops the theory of the idea of ​​a person as a source and principle of organizing a real personality, which is considered as an active beginning of life. V.A. Snegirev acts as the creator of the “psychology of living personality”, which is present in all mental manifestations.
