The sword of wisdom. Kokhun I.
The book that you are holding in your hands is unique for many reasons. It would be enough that this is the only biography of Samuel Liddell McGregor Maszs (1854-1918), the founder and leader of the Order of the Golden Dawn, the figure of ambiguous, tragic and mysterious, about which, despite its huge contribution to the history of the Western Hermetic tradition, surprisingly little is known. However, the identity of the author of the book and the literary characteristics of the latter also deserve special mention.
Itel Kokhun (1906-1988) is known primarily as a surreal artist. A graduate of the famous School of Arts Slade, they studied this artistic direction in France and during life quite a lot was exhibited in England and Germany. “The Sword of Wisdom” is not the only work of Kokhun; From under her pen, the occult novel “The Germogenov Goose” also came out, and the collection of her works in various branches of magical knowledge saw the light only after her death.
The Sword of Wisdom was first published in 1973 and has since gained wide fame. It should be noted a light and pleasant to read the literary style of Itel Kokhun, which combines the ease of vernacular, wit and sophistication of the revolutions of the poetess and emotionality characteristic of “female literature”. _x000d _
