The theory of relational frames in clinical practice. Thorneke N.
The theory of relational frames, or the TRF, is a little -studied theory of behavior, which has become the basis of modern ideas about psychology: a shift in the direction of a deeper understanding of the processes of speech and knowledge. The book in an accessible form presents the basic concepts of this exciting theory, which underlies the treatment of acceptance and responsibility. It is also a guide for the direct use of TRFs in clinical work. The author of the book, Niclas Thorneke, described the main building blocks of the TRF: the language as a special means of building ties, derivatives of stimulus reactions and the transfer of stimulus functions. Then he demonstrated the fundamental role of these concepts in understanding the theory of acceptance and responsibility and other therapeutic models. Here are also shown methods of using practical exercises and metaphors in clinical practice and their justification to customers. This book will be useful to psychologists, psychotherapists, students and everyone who seeks to more deeply understand the psychotherapy of behaviorism.
