The theory of the biological field. 2nd edition, stereotypical. Gurvich A.G.
This work sets out a completely original “theory of the biological field”, which, according to the author, the outstanding biologist and embryologist A.G. Gurvich, has the meaning of the universal biological principle. The main in biological phenomena is their orientation (vectority). This is already a practical attempt to express it in the form of a field - a representation that was borrowed formally from physics.
In its constructions, the author proceeds from the idea that the cell field creates primarily the ordering of the movement of protoplasm molecules. By this, he simultaneously gives a new theory of the structure of protoplasm. The theory of a biological field is, first of all, an attempt to give an explanation to the phenomena of development and structural features. It was developed by the author for more than 30 years and in Russian was first examined in this book.
The book is recommended for biologists, science historians, students and graduate students of higher educational institutions of biological and medical specialties.
