The book is an publication of the materials of the demonstration process organized by the Saratov Bolsheviks against the local clergy, led by the Vikar Bishop Herman (Kosolapov) in 1918-1919, one of the first public anti-church vessels in Soviet Russia. Two affairs from the State Archive of the Saratov Region are almost completely published; Materials from other archives and periodicals of that time were involved.
