The famous Roman-Felon I. Ilf and E. Petrov “Twelve Chairs” was first published in 1928, and today it is called among the most popular works of Russian literature of the twentieth century. The story of two scammers who set off in search of diamonds of Madame Petukhova, and to this day is successful with readers. The name Ostap Bender, the Great Combinator, became a household man, and the novel himself spread to quotes and withstood hundreds of successful reprints.
