Archimandrite Cleop (Ilye; 1912 - 1998), a confessor, a prayer book and a church writer, is widely known not only in Romania, but also abroad. His difficult experience of the hermit - Isihast, who spent many years in the harsh mountain forests of Romania, deep knowledge of the Holy Scriptures, the creations of the Holy Fathers, as well as wisdom and love for people made him a true spiritual father not only for monks, but also for many laity.
