The book of the attention of readers I.P. Potekhina is the first review of the history of the papal administrative and financial system in the domestic media literature, which has developed in the VI-XIV centuries. Based on a wide range of sources and diverse achievements of world historiography, the author considers the process of establishing and transforming the main administrative structures that have been responsible for the financial support of the papacy of the Middle Ages, and also explores priority articles of papal income that are relevant for different stages of the history of the medieval Catholic Church. A special place in the monograph is given to the period of the Avignon captivity of the PAPs (1309-1378), which, according to most modern researchers, has become, the time of the highest financial power of St. The throne and maximum strengthening of its main fiscal department - the apostolic chamber (Camera Apostolica). In the absence of the appropriate Russian historiographic tradition, the author introduces special terminology to designate as individual financial officials of the papal court, so the main requisitions that were charged in favor of the pope. The book is also equipped with a number of valuable applications.
