The manual contains tasks on the sections “Man and Society”, “Rules for safe life” (social literacy) and “Man and nature” (natural-scientific literacy). The manual can be used in the joint work of teachers and students in the lessons and during extracurricular activities.

The manual ensures the formation of components of the functional literacy of younger students based on the content of the subject "The World", as well as the deepening and expansion of the subject content regarding requirements of the FOP NOO. Work on the tasks of the manual creates the conditions for the development of the following skills of students: choose the necessary information, carry out analysis, comparison, classification, highlight significant features, establish causal relationships, build reasoning, formulate conclusions, transform known or construct new ways of cognitive actions, and apply the complex knowledge and skills in solving a wide range of educational and life problems.

The structure of the manual includes starting and final diagnostics for each class, as well as a system of training tasks.

The manual is developed on the basis of the current GEF NOO.
