The story “The youth of the commander” of the writer-historian V. Jan, the author of the famous historical novels about Genghis Khan and Batu, is dedicated to Prince Alexander Nevsky and talks about the merits of the prince as the organizer of the defense of the great Novgorod from the onslaught of the Swedes and the Teutonic Order in the early 40s GG.
