Theatrical novel. Bulgakov M.
The unfinished “Theatrical Roman” (the author’s name “Notes of the deceased”) Mikhail Afanasevich Bulgakov (1891-1940) created in 1936-1937, after a breakdown of relations with the Moscow Art Theater and his head Konstantin Sergeyevich Stanislavsky. The writer was sharply experiencing the cessation of rehearsals of his “Moliere” (“Basal of the Holy”) on the stage of the Moscow Art Theater. We can say that the romance with the theater at Bulgakov was quite sad: almost all of his things were either removed from the repertoire, or were not allowed to the scene for censorship reasons (the exception was the play “Days of the Turbins”, which enjoyed the unchanging success of the audience). However, in the notes that committed the suicide of a novice writer and playwright Maksudov (“Notes of the Dead”) there is no place for politics. Bulgakov, who experienced a lot from the Soviet regime, understanding what difficult time he lives, refused his work “Artist and Power”, which became the main reason for the cessation of work on the “Moliere”. The main attention in the bright, smart and ironic “theater novel” is dedicated to the sincerely beloved and deeply revered by the author theater, and what could be more interesting than the backstage life...
