Under Roosevelt, the country entered the international arena, announced its foreign policy interests within the framework of the Monroe doctrine, and in domestic politics the first step was taken to limit the activities of monopolies (the doctrine of the “big club”) and the introduction of certain social guarantees for the population. Not everyone was satisfied with this policy: Roosevelt survived two attempts, as a result of one of them was seriously wounded, but did not change his principles.
in the book of the famous Russian-American historian A.I. Utkina traces the biography of T. Roosevelt against the background of the events of the late XIX - early XX centuries.
