The book of the famous Russian historian G.K. Volstov proposed to the reader is a complete historical and philological review of the mythology of Theogony-the famous poem of the ancient Greek poet Hesiod, which is based on the scientific material of the 19th century. The author analyzes the creations of Hesiod, trying to "delve into the meaning of the legends that went between his contemporaries, and finish the real facts lying in the basis of legends."
