The presentation is illustrated by the consideration of a large number of specific theoretical and malformations, which are mainly related to indefinite equations. The main attention is paid to algebraic methods, but geometric and analytical methods also occupy a noticeable place.

The book does not imply great knowledge among the reader; To understand most of it, two courses of the university and the very basics of the theory of numbers are quite enough: the general theory of comparisons and the theory of quadratic deductions to the square law of reciprocity. The necessary information of a purely algebraic nature is given in the “Algebraic addition” at the end of the book. Among them are accurate definitions, formulations, and sometimes evidence of everything that can meet in the book and at the same time is not included in the university course of the highest algebra.
