This book compiled letters to that Butler-a professor at Harvard University-with whom actress Alla Demidova led from 1990 to 2007. Random acquaintance led to interesting communication, and then to the creation of a book.

The letters of A. Demidova placed a description of trips and tour, theatrical productions, as well as a story about the people with whom her fate brought her. Among them is Sergey Yursky, Yuri Lyubimov, Roman Viktyuk, Antoine Vituz, Theodoros Terzopoulos, Larisa Shepitko, Sergey Parajanov. Letters alternate with extracts from the diaries of the actress or small “remarks”, where these or those events are revealed in more detail, and portraits of contemporaries are also enlarged. The book with all truths reflected various layers of time and culture in Russia and abroad.
