The novel “Thirty -year -old woman”, which gave rise to the expression “woman of Balzac age”, is part of the large cycle “Human Comedy”. Balzac worked on this novel for a long time, from 1829 to 1842, processing the already written stories. The text of the novel is given in the translation of A. A. Khudadova.
