What is a sense of life? “Thoughts” are devoted to these fundamental issues of human being - the remaining incomplete work of Pascal, which contains deep thoughts about God and the place of man in the universe. The aphorism of the presentation, the brevity of definitions and the laconic style distinguish this masterpiece from many philosophical texts of the XVII century. “Thoughts” written in a turning point, when the rationalism of the Enlightenment arose at the end of the humanism of the Renaissance, is extremely relevant today, in times no less complex and contradictory.
