Three happy lions: a collection of fairy tales. Fatio L.
The book included two tales about the adventures of a cute and friendly lion living in the zoo of a small French town: “The Lonely Happy Leo” and “Three Happy Leo”. These tales were created by the American artist Roger Duvoisen in the 1950s in collaboration with his wife Louise Fatio, and over the past decades became the classic of children's literature.
“The lonely happy lion”. The happy Lev lived in a cozy city zoo, where he had everything that could be wished: his own house, and a spacious courtyard, and a high rock with a cool cave. But despite this, once a happy lion felt very unhappy. He sadly looked at how in the neighboring aviary a camel gently pressed his cheek to his camel, how the hippo splashed with his hippo, and Dad-zibra laid his head on the neck of Zebra-Mama. Everyone lived around in pairs. "Why am I here in complete solitude?" - Thought Lev and saddened even more. But then one day a stray animal circus came to their town, and among its artists a happy lion saw the most beautiful lioness. He realized that he could not live without her for a day and decided to kidnap his beloved at all costs. He managed this, however, the director of the circus was not enthusiastic about the fact that his best artist disappeared...
“three happy lions”. The happy lion and the lioness began to live together, and soon the third happy lion appeared in their house, or rather a small, pretty lion. The kid quickly grew up, and soon caring parents thought about who their son would become when he grows up. The choice of lion's professions is traditionally small: he could become a pet, could perform in the circus or, like parents, to work as a lion in a zoo. Well, the young Leo tried all these classes one after another, but not one of them suited him. In the end, he found his own calling and became the world's first lion sad. “Personally, I was always sure that great opportunities have been opening up in front of smart lions in life,” the happy lion said since then, with pride, looking at his son.
