The book of Kamil Gizhitsky “Through Uryanhei and Mongolia”, first published in Poland in 1927, that is, soon after the events described in it, will allow a curious reader to plunge into the history of white movement in the territory of Mongolia and in the border regions of Siberia. Gizhitsky was a direct participant in military operations deployed by the "white", as part of the Asian horse division under the command of Baron Ungern. In addition, by its nature, Gizhitsky was an excellent observer, and in its inclination, belonged to the enthusiastic researchers of culture, language, customs, beliefs and religions of the Mongols and tribes inhabiting Mongolia.
