Tibetan book of the dead. Padmasambhava
Death in the Buddhist tradition is only a stage on the path to a new life. In order to get a favorable embodiment in it or finally free itself from the wheel of Sansara, the dying one should know how to act after death. This is described in the legendary text “Bardo Thyol” (“Liberation by listening”) - a kind of guidebook on conditions through which the consciousness of a dying person passes. In the West, this text became known as the “Tibetan Book of the Dead” and had a huge impact on psychologists of the 20th century - from Jung to Timothy Leary.
The publication contains a new translation of a specialist in Tibetan literature Maya Malygin and many illustrations that will help to better understand the world of Tibetan Buddhism.
for connoisseurs of history and mythology.
