William Blake (1757-1827)-artist, visionary, one of the greatest romantic poets of the 19th century, to whom European culture owes uncompromising and very distinctive works of art. Blake claimed that he saw the angels and spoke with supernatural creatures, which then inhabited his poems and engravings.

In the philosophy of Blake, the human imagination was the key to the gates of eternity, which is possible for everyone, whose spirit is free. His own imagination, feeding on the richest heritage of philosophy, religion and myth, made it possible to create poetic worlds that captivate, intrigue and delight many generations of readers.

The present edition includes all the most famous poetic works of Blake in classical translations S. Marshaka, A. Sergeeva, V. Toporov, B. Mikushevich and G. Kruzhkov.
