“My desires - first of all” - that was the motto of Frank Alderon Caucerwood and the protagonist of the second book “Titan” from the “Desire Trilogy” by the American writer Theodore Dreiser, published in 1912. The novel tells about the life of a talented financier in Philadelphia, who played a significant role in the development of a public transport system in Chicago and London.
