To our polemic with the Old Believers. Golubinsky E.E.

The outstanding Russian church historian, academician Yevgeny Evstigneevich Golubinsky, Honored Professor of the Moscow Theological Academy, belongs, in addition to large and well -known works - “History of the Russian Church” and “Monk Sergius of Radonezh”, also a number of articles dedicated to the topic of church split XVII XVII. V. The author in detail and reasonably covers in them the main points of the polemic, which has erupted as a result of the Reformation of the Russian Church. In 1905, these articles came out in the form of a separate publication. More than a hundred years have passed since its release, but, despite this, it has not lost its scientific significance, and it is hardly possible to name a later review scientific work that contains a more complete and wide analysis of the theme raised in it. The opinion of the historian regarding some issues changed over time, which is reflected on the pages of the book. The reader can independently get acquainted with the evolution of the views of the scientist. The literary style of the author and the design of the scientific apparatus are preserved in this publication without any changes. The book can be useful to all interested in Russian history.
