The book presents two works of the outstanding German philosopher Max Scheler (1874-1928)-“To the Phenomenon of the Tragic” and “On the meaning of suffering”. The first is published in a new translation, the second in the new edition. Both saw the world in the First World War, which makes them consonant with our time.
