The work of Vasily Shukshin (1929–1974) is an outstanding phenomenon of the 1960-1970s. His talent was manifested in acting, directorial, scenario skill, but it was literary works that brought Shukshin popular glory. The novels and stories of the writer are translated into more than twenty languages ​​and are rightfully considered the property of Russian literature of the twentieth century.
