The book presents the history of the life cycle of one of the most ambiguously evaluated samples of domestic individual small arms-Tokarev self-loading rifle.

Tokarev’s History is considered taking into account the complex of technical, economic and military-political factors that affected the main Stages of its development, production and combat service. The main source of information when working on the book was archival materials and photo documents, as well as the reports of the GAU training ground, a significant part of which is published for the first time. The book contains a description of the design and images of Tokarev rifles and their elements, including prototypes, and is equipped with a large number of graphs, diagrams, diagrams and other graphic materials.

The second edition of the book differs from the first, in addition to a higher level printing, in-depth illumination of a number of aspects of the history of the Tokarev rifle, introduced into the work based on the study of newly identified archival materials, as well as the addition of previously not published images and descriptions of automatic rifles of Tokarev and other guardians.
