Toys. Barto A.L.
We present to your attention the book “Toys” by Agnia Lvovna Barto
Agnia Lvovna Barto wrote the “Toys” cycle in the 1930s. The decision on publication in those years was made at a meeting of the publishing house. It was said about the "toys": "The verses are good, but the rhymes must be redone, they are difficult for children's perception." Barto did not redo the rhymes, after a while the poems were still printed. Now, when several generations have grown up on the verses of Agnia Lvovna, it is difficult to believe in this story.
Agni Barto’s poems know and love grandparents, mothers and dads and, of course, our children. And the kids who are not yet familiar with the work of a wonderful children's poet can only envy. After all, they only have a wonderful acquaintance with verses about their favorite toys: a bear, who was dropped on the floor; coward-whine; wet bunny; A cat who is not used to riding a truck.
The bright understandable illustrations of the wonderful children's artist Vladimir Konashevich perfectly complement the verses of Agnia Barto.
