Tradition of Atlantis according to archeology. Pachkalov A.
The book is devoted to the consideration of the legend about Atlantis and the subjects associated with it. Based on the texts of the original sources (dialogues of Plato Timey and Critia, the 4th century BC) and archaeological materials, the author comes to the conclusions that the tradition under consideration is associated with the megalithic tradition of Western Europe and the archaeological monuments of Britain, especially those Which are located in Southern England (Eyvbury, Stonehenge). The parallels between Plato's texts about Atlantis and archaeological materials obtained in Southern England cannot be random. The author considers both the long -known and new data on the archaeological monuments of Britain of the Neolithic and the Bronze Age, the contacts of the inhabitants of Britain with the countries of the Mediterranean in the Bronze Age era, the Bronze Age crisis and other plots. The book is based on a comprehensive analysis of these written sources and archeology.
