Traditional Indian philosophy. Anthology
Indian philosophy is an amazing phenomenon of continuous and progressive development of tradition. Having begun to form back in the XVI century BC, in many centuries it has reached an incredible internal diversity. At the same time, some schools (Darshans) to one degree or another took into account the dogma of the oldest sacred texts (Vedas), while others rejected their authority, creating independent ideological systems. So, within the framework of Brahmanism, a division into astistic - followers of orthodoxy and nastik - its negatives arose. The real edition included texts created by representatives of both trends of Indian philosophy - orthodox Darshan (Sankhya, Yogi, Vaishesiki, Vedanthi, Tantra and Vyakarans) and schools that broke with the brahmanist tradition (Jainism and Buddhism).
The book is intended for orientalists, religious scholars, historians, as well as all those interested in the philosophical thought of ancient India.
