The manual is intended for the formation and assessment of creative thinking, which is part of functional literacy and is studied in the international comparative study of PISA. It is recommended for the use of teachers in the lessons and in extracurricular activities for training purposes, as well as the school administration for the organization of intra-school monitoring to assess the functional literacy of students 10-13 years. The structure of the manual: the manual contains an appeal to a student of 10-13 years, explaining the nature and purpose of the proposed tasks. The manual describes general approaches to the assessment of knowledge and skills, measuring materials are proposed. In the first part of the manual, an example of the training task (block of tasks, work based on text) with a commented response and clarification of the main approaches to assessing the execution of the task (block of tasks, work based on the text) is given. The second part of the manual proposes tasks (blocks of tasks, work based on text) for independent work of students and answers to tasks, formulated as the basis for self -testing.
