The manual is intended for the formation and assessment of global competencies, which are part of functional literacy and are studied in the PISA International Comparative Research. It is recommended for the use of teachers in the lessons and in extracurricular activities for training purposes, as well as the school administration for the organization of intra-school monitoring to assess the functional literacy of students 10-13 years. The structure of the manual: the manual contains an appeal to a student of 10-13 years, explaining the nature and purpose of the proposed tasks. The manual describes general approaches to the assessment of knowledge and skills, measuring materials are proposed. The first part of the manual gives an example of the training task (block of tasks, work based on text) with a commented response and clarifying the main approaches to assessing the execution of the task. The second part proposes tasks for the independent work of students and answers to the tasks, formulated as the basis for self -testing. What this manual will teach: * will explain what “global competencies” are and what it means “to be globally competent”. * Critically consider global problems and intercultural interaction. * Understand and evaluate various points of view and systems of views.
