Trauma and human existence. Stolorou R. D.
In this book, Robert Stolorou continues to develop the theory of intersubjective systems (see: Stolorou R. and others. Clinical psychoanalysis. Interceptive approach. M.: Kogito Center, 1999) in relation to the problem of mental injury. To conceptualize the phenomenon of mental trauma, the author resorts to the concepts of continental philosophy, its directions as phenomenology, hermeneutics and existential analytics by Martin Heidegger. The author’s appeal to the experience of suffering and cure for his own injury associated with the sudden death of his wife deserves particular attention. The concept of emotional trauma presented in the book should help analysts better understand the subjective states of injured customers and convince them of the need to provide an “emotional shelter” for traumatic experiences.
