Jonathan Swift (1667-1745), the author of one of the greatest satirical works of world literature-“Gulliver travels”, was born in Ireland, in Dublin. He took part in all the political storms of his country, which was reflected in many of his works, as a rule, satirical, usually dressed in a fantastic form. The book is “Gulliver's Travels”, about the extraordinary adventures of the literary hero in the Lilliput countries. Compiled on the basis of programs for literary reading of a comprehensive school.
