Treatment of injury in dialectical behavioral therapy. DPT Protocol of the prolonged exhibition. Harland M.S.
This innovative guide is devoted to the description of the approach that combines dialectical behavioral therapy (DPT) with an adapted version of prolonged exposition therapy (PE) for the treatment of customers suffering from PTSR. The book shows how to apply the DPT PE protocol to the DPT customers who have reached security levels and stability necessary to participate in the injury-oriented therapy. The main goal in developing the DPT PE protocol was to make effective treatment with PTSD accessible for customers with high risk, complex and severe disorders, which, as a rule, have no access to such therapy. PE was originally developed for women with PTSD, related to sexual violence, and is currently used for therapy of different groups of customers who survived the injury.
The book contains recommendations for sessions, rich examples from practice, clinical tips, as well as 35 handouts and forms. It is designed for a wide range of readers - practicing psychotherapists, students, graduate students, interns, residents, teachers and interested customers.
